Journey Through India

For many years we have been traveling through this fascinating country, primarily Rajasthan, the desert state in the northwest. Magnificent palaces and forts date back to a time when many small principalities and powerful kings still ruled. Men in turbans and beautiful women in magnificent saris evoke dreams from One Thousand and One Nights. Jaipur, the capital, is not only worth a tourist trip but also a center for hand-cut gemstones and beautiful silver jewelry that is exported all over the world. For over 20 years, we have been working with small manufacturers who handcraft our wonderful unique pieces of jewelry.

Many families from the villages still earn their living through traditional handicrafts. Magnificent blankets, cushions, carpets, and wood carvings are handmade, and it often takes weeks for one piece to be finished. We buy from traders who support these families.
